MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND * MAY 7th & 8th, 2011

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Savage Park?
Savage Park is right on Swiss Avenue, between Parkmont and Bryan Street. It shows as a small triangle on online maps, but is often not labeled. If you are able to get to the midpoint of Swiss Avenue, you won't be able to miss it.

Where can I park?
Street parking is permitted. Swiss Avenue itself will be quite crowded, but side streets and Bryan Pkwy will have space. Parking is also permitted at Munger Place Church, 5200 Bryan Street, all day Saturday and beginning at 1pm on Sunday. The shuttle buses will include the church in their runs.

Is photography permitted?
Photography is generally permitted, but please confirm with a docent at each house.

Can I use a credit card to purchase tickets?
Credit cards are accepted at our vendor partners, online, and at Savage Park during the tour. There will be no credit card transactions possible at the individual homes.

I purchased tickets online via PayPal. How do I pick up my tickets? Print the email receipt you received from PayPal and bring it to the will-call booth in Savage Park to receive your tickets.

What are the hours for the festivities in Savage Park? Savage Park and Swiss Avenue median festivities are the same as the home tour hours (Saturday 10AM-6PM, Sunday Noon-6PM), but the Mother's Day Brunch does start things off on Sunday at 11AM.

Is this a self-guided tour? Do I need to be at the start at a certain time? The tour spans two days, Saturday and Sunday. You can visit the houses on your own schedule, in whatever order suits you. It's perfectly fine (and sometimes preferable) to spread your home tour experience over two days.

Does the tour include the interiors of the homes, or just the exteriors? The tour highlights the interiors of each home. Docents will provide information about the homes.
